The popular ScanX 12 Digital Imaging System for Podiatry now comes with a significant performance improvement. Corrigan Podiatry utilizes this new and improved computerized radiography system. Replacing traditional film x-rays, this unit utilizes phosphor storage plates which are plates coated with an x-ray sensitive phosphor material. Upon exposure to x-rays, the plate stores a latent image which is then transformed into a fully adjustable image, enhancements of the images to maximize the diagnostic information including 1000x magnification of small injuries and special fracture detecting software. All of these features allow for fast, efficient, and most importantly accurate x-rays to be taken in the office and shown to the patient with in five minutes.
